The furniture sector company sales of SBA group have risen by 6%

The biggest furniture company group in the Baltic states, managed by SBA, have increased their sales by 16 million EUR or 6 % in 2018, which now amounts to 288 million euros.


“The whole furniture industry in the country has been heavily influenced by significantly higher prices of raw materials, the lack of employees, and the global slowdown in demand for furniture. In order to continue growing and to stay competitive, we are focusing on the production efficiency, automation, and robots, says SBA Vice President Egidijus Valentinavičius.


In 2018, out of furniture factories operating in Lithuania which are managed by SBA, the most production was sold by ‘Visagino linija’. Their income has increased by 7% to 75 million euros. Similar sales have been recorded by ‘Klaipėdos baldai‘ which amounts to 73 million euros. ‘Germanica’, which is operating in Šilutė, have also increased their sales by 7% to 53 million euros. Šilutės baldai‘ maintained steady sales of 37 million euros. Soft furniture manufacturer ‘Kauno baldai’ have increased their sales by a quarter to 17 million euros.


Due to the rapid development in recent years, the group's Mebelain‘, operating in Belarus, has had the most growth. Its‘ sales doubled in three years to almost 30 million euros.


“This year, global competition between furniture manufacturers for orders will continue to grow. Therefore, besides investing in modern production tools in SBA furniture companies, we are also implementing advanced business management systems, optimizing production processes, so this year we are expecting a positive effect of these tools, ”says E. Valentinavičius.


95% of SBA Group furniture company production is exported to more than 30 countries, most of which travel to the United States.
